We live in the “land of free” and we all have the free will of making choices in our lives and women of this modern age are no exception. I encourage ALL women of ALL ages to GET into some form of exercise. Just like many things in life there are different levels and degrees of things. General fitness or power training, toning or even “buffing”, are not just for the modern “Man”.

Functionality for Sports |

I would like to get started here by asking what is functionality, and how do you interpret this word for sports? To me functionality is the body’s ability to perform the task that is demanded of it, in the most efficient way, utilizing what’s required for the particular sport or moment. It encompasses strength, power, coordination, balance, agility, and most desirably of all, the body’s mechanics working as a unit.

I am about to embark on a highly sensitive (for some) and controversial topic here, one that in my opinion needs attention, focus, and the utmost honesty from all of us. The one thing I will not do here is to target or aim biased judgment towards particular individuals in any competitive sports as to “who is using” or “who is on”. I will, however, mention specific sports and how they have evolved with drugs, by fact.

Big Muscle Versus Dense Muscle |

Impressed by BIG arms, legs or even chest muscles? Well me too! I won’t lie, it looks impressive and even barbaric to see the latest body builders with exaggerated proportions, or even many of the strength athletes now days all “souped up”. Their muscles are HUGE but are their muscles DENSE? What’s the difference and why should it matter? Who cares? Well you may or may not care, but after reading the facts in this article you will at least understand the truth about “muscle density versus big muscles”.
